Preparation Tips for SI & Police Exams

• Start physical training early. Running stamina takes months to build, so begin with the written exam preparation, not after the result.
• Practise on a measured track and record your timing every week for running, long jump and high jump.
• Clear the Tamil eligibility paper first. If you do not reach the qualifying mark, the main paper is not evaluated.
• Use Samacheer Kalvi 6th–12th books for General Knowledge; most questions come from these books and current affairs.
• Practise psychology / general ability questions daily; they are scoring and need speed.
• Keep your certificates ready: education, community, NCC/NSS and sports certificates earn special marks only if produced in the required format.
• Prepare for the viva voce with current affairs, your district and the duties of a police officer.
