Why start the mains now

• The prelims only screens; your final rank depends only on Mains Paper II. Every week of early preparation counts.
• Answer writing is a skill – it improves only with regular tests, correction and feedback.
• Paper I (Tamil eligibility) is qualifying, but if you miss 40 marks, Paper II is not even evaluated.

Mains exam pattern (TNPSC Notification 07/2026)

Paper II is evaluated only if the Paper I minimum is secured. Candidates are admitted to the mains at 10 times the vacancies (1:10). Total vacancies: Group II 43, Group IIA 803.

When does the Group 2/2A mains batch start?

In the second week of November 2026. Classes are from 10 AM to 1 PM.

What is the fee?

The course fee is ₹24,500. It includes study material books, mains mock tests and evaluation with feedback.

Is there an online option?

Yes. You can join the classroom batch at Coimbatore or Madurai, or attend live online.

Should I wait for the prelims result before joining?

No. The mains needs answer-writing practice that takes time. Students who start right after the prelims are better prepared when the mains date is announced.

Is there an interview for Group 2 in 2026?

No. As per TNPSC Notification 07/2026, there is no interview for Group II or Group IIA; ranking is on Mains Paper II marks.
